Air quenching: The cooling process of quenching is air quenching.

Many steels with low critical cooling rate, such as those with high nickel content, can be air-cooled. Its characteristics are: the internal stress is significantly lower than that of conventional quenching, and there is no special requirement for tempering in time or not.
